Future Focus?

AutoWeek reports that the European built Ford Kuga Crossover could become the new Ford Focus here in the United States.

Inspired by the iosis X Concept that was revealed at the 2006 Paris Motor Show, Kuga goes on sale in Europe in early '08.

What do you think of the backswept rear window line?  Also notice that the Ford shares the same small wind deflector at the edge of the roof as the Dodge Caliber and Jeep Compass.

I have noticed these same design features on a number of brands.

I can't put my finger on it, but it reminds me of a design trend from the

Nash, Hudson, Rambler, American Motors stable of the 1950's.
